Something you may not know...: Sweet Tooth

Every once in a while we'll run a little post entitled "Something you may not know..." about Panagiota. Feel free to write your own post about something we may not have known, or if you're inspired by the topic of the post, add a comment.

Did you know that Panagiota's favorite Canadian confection was maple sugar candy? At one point she ate so much of it, though, that she couldn't even look at a piece for years without having to suppress her gag reflex. It still didn't stop her from eating about a gallon of maple syrup on her pancakes, though....

Got your own story about Panagiota or her sweet tooth that you'd like to share? Write a new post, add a comment or send us an e-mail!

You've got it wrong. Her favorite was the maple cookies- the cookie that was shaped like a maple leaf and had the maple cream in the middle, kind of like an oreo cookie. Oh, and the maple doughnuts they used to sell at Dunkin' Donuts in Canada when we were young. She could easily eat a dozen of them.

Her favorite dessert south of the Canadian border was cheese cannolis from Termini Brothers in Philadelphia.

And her favorite Greek dessert was baklavadakia- individual small baklava resembling the shape of cigars. She bought a big box of them two days before we left Greece last summer and we shared them for dinner. Then we bought some more the next day.
