I Remember When...: Morning Wake-Up Edition

Loire Valley, April 2005
Another type of post that we'll be running regularly is a series entitled "I Remember When..." As the name would imply, these posts will tell a story about something that happened to Panagiota or something she said or did.

I remember that when Panagiota and I used to stay at her house in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, I used to wake her up by singing to her from the shower (a little trick I had perfected while living with my sister during law school). If you like, you can sing along yourself, to the tune of Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier:

Peggy ... Alexandrop'los,
Queen of the Hasbrouck Heights!

Well, she learned to eat a steak when she was less than three,
she went to Villanova to become an attorney,
she moved to Hasbrouck Heights in the state of New Jersey,
and worked at Clifford Chance, and that's where she met me.

Peggy ... Alexandrop'los,
Queen of the Hasbrouck Heights!
Peggy (Peggy!) ... Alexandrop'los,
Queen of the Hasbrouck Heights!

Got an interesting story about Panagiota that you'd like to share? Maybe you'd like to contribute another verse to Panagiota's morning wake-up song? Write a post, add a comment or send us an e-mail!

Well, in Two-Thousand-and-Four she moved to Gay Paree,
Fought and won the battle 'gainst the Old Pigeon Lady,
Kissed Lee on a boat after they done got married,
Labored o'er a day 'fore she had her wee baby.
